The primary objective of rehabilitating the maxillofacial defects is to eliminate the disease and to improve the quality of life for these individuals. There are various types of ob1urator fabrication available for a Prosthodontist. The size of the defect and its location influences the degree of impairment and the complications in the rehabilitation procedure. The three important factors in the success of any prosthesis namely support, retention, and stability are the common treatment problems for patients who have had a maxillectomy. Hence the design of the obturator and its method of construction should facilitate to achieve optimum results for the comfort of the patient. This paper describes a case where construction of a hollow bulb obturator was done using Chalian's technique.
